About Julia Leahy

 

Julia Leahy is an aspiring comedian living in New York City. She is the face of the comedy TikTok account @morepestoplease and has recently started her own podcast, The Pesto Pod. 

 

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Julia attended Catholic school for her whole life and was a devoted theatre kid: a recipe for chaos. Between getting scolded by nuns, attempting to become an OBGYN, and having her first kiss with the kid who played Daddy Warbucks in her eighth grade production of Annie, Julia is constantly finding the laughs in everyday life. She has a passion for performing, storytelling, and, of course, colorful language.

Julia's growing social media presence has opened a world of opportunity for her. She has had the privilege of connecting with other accomplished creators and even collaborating with them, most recently appearing on Drew Afualo's The Comment Section podcast. Julia has also worked with esteemed brands to deliver quality sponsored content through both TikTok and Instagram, and she has attended premieres and events all over New York City.

 

Julia graduated from Fordham University in May 2023 with Bachelors Degrees in Film and Television as well as Communications Studies. She also had the opportunity to intern at Atlantic Pictures as an office production assistant in her senior year of college, during which she was able to learn a lot more about the nitty gritty of the film industry. She would love to one day find herself on a screen or a stage.

More than anything, Julia loves making people laugh. She brings a lighthearted irony to all of her content, and her hope is that you get a chuckle out of whatever shenanigans she finds herself in.
